Raquel Basco is an actress, model, and current titleholder for Miss International Oceania 2019, She is known for her advocacy work in mental health and has dedicated the last five years of her life to her platform in pageantry. 

 

This Bay Area native started her advocacy work with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in 2015. Today, she is the director of two international non profit organizations, Balik to School and The Coleen Orphanage Project. Her platform is focused on eliminating the stigma of Mental Illnesses on the International Level.

 

She has been fortunate enough to work in commercial modeling and film nationally and internationally for the last five years. Her hope is that her influence in the entertainment business will challenge stereotypes and make way for other woman artists and models of color.
